New Families Applying to MCS Start Here: Pre-Registration Information: Click the link below & complete the form online. The form will automatically be emailed to MCS Office for processing. Please do a separate form for each child. Please be looking for an email with information to create a Brightwheel account if you do not already have one. Our Office hours are 7:15am-4:00pm where you can drop off needed paperwork like Health Assessments, Sports Physicals & Concussion form, Volunteer Opportunity Form, Jr. High Electives Form, lunch money checks, Birth Certificates and Sacrament forms for new students, shop the uniform closet, and ask questions. Please Note: online fillable jotforms will automatically be emailed to the MCS office, other forms will need printed and returned to MCS.

Junior High Only:
*All students planning to participate in a school sport MUST have a current (after May 1st 2024) KSHSAA Sports Physical (Pgs. 1-5 USE OUR FORM SO ALL PAGES ARE INCLUDED) signed by a doctor, parent and student and a KSHSAA Concussion Form signed by parent and student, on file at MCS before the first day of practice or they will NOT be able to participate. Please drop these off in the OFFICE prior to the first day of practice.

MCS Uniform Requirements:

MCS Uniform Closet is located in the Grade School. Please ask office staff for available times to shop it. This is a great way to get the needed uniforms at a huge saving. Items are gently used & range in price from $4 - $9 per item.
At least 2 MCS shirts (at least one red for All School Mass days) are recommended for starting the school year; more pieces can be purchased at the discretion of the parents. Only certain items (shirts, jumpers, plaid skirts and all logo pieces) are a purchase required from Land's End; other items (shorts/pants/khaki skirt) can be purchased elsewhere. Please see parent - student handbook for dress code requirements.

Application for Free & Reduced-Price Meals
All families are encouraged to complete the online 2024-2025 Application for Free or Reduced-Price Meal Benefits. A new application must be submitted each school year. Only students with approved applications will receive free or reduced-price meals for the 2024-2025 school year. 2024-2025 School Meal Prices
School meal prices will increase by 15 cents for the 2024-2025 school year. Student meal prices have not been raised since 2019. The price adjustment is in response to an increase in food and supply costs as well as a decrease in federal reimbursement. The goal is to operate our school meal program at a break-even point. Every effort will be made to keep prices as low as possible while providing nutritious meals to students.

Luckey Fall Sports Wrap-up:
- The Cross Country teams finished their season at the top of the BVL! Both teams earned the team league championship to be immortalized with the year 2024 on the championship banners hanging in the Luckey Gym. The runners appreciated the guidance of Coach Feldkamp and Coach Irvine in workouts to help set their personal best performances!
- The A-Team Cardinal Volleyballersโ earned the 2nd seed in the BVL tournament with a 13-2 record. They defeated Washington, then lost a heart-breaking three-set game to Linn in the semifinals. They came back to beat Valley Heights to take the 3rd Place medals. Their 15-3 season record was awesome!
- The B-Team finished with a 6-7 record, and the C-Team was 4-2-1. The girls improved and had fun! They thank Coach Hampton and Coach Hund for working with them this year.
- Lucas Vrbas said he enjoyed playing on the Luckey-BV football team despite the 0-7 season record. He thanked Coach Jared Russell for helping him to and from practice most of the season!
- It was a great fall season, Cardinals!

Thanksgiving Break Nov 25th-29th
Math Counts
Damien A, Kendall F, Jack K, Molly M, and Nathaniel S, represented MCS at the Chapter MathCounts competition on February 10. The team placed third in the competition. Damien achieved fifth place as an individual. Any students who are interested in joining the MathCounts club are welcome to join. Franci Irvine and Ellen Peschel were selected as two of the top 3 winners in the local Patriot Pen contest. The top three winners will be recognized at their Holiday Party on December 7. Congratulations ladies!
